The GCC App is a teacher-facing Android App used to track, monitor and record all conservation lessons and activities of individual students, both inside and outside of the classroom.
The App is built for functionalities in remote environments, and has offline capabilities.
The platforms long-term aim is to match the best suited learners with opportunities and employment within the greater wildlife economy.User X: The App is used by trained environmental educators who oversee or conduct lessons and activities.
Any supporting photos of activities and lessons can be uploaded through the App, which are then linked to the students unique profiles.
A wide variety of curriculum is housed within the App, which can be searched for by age, grade and region to ensure relevance to learners.
Behavior and attitudinal traits, based on the National Geographic Learning Framework, are associated to students individual profiles during lessons.
Unique identifiers are created for students which are linked to their national ID numbers for ease of tracking.Backend: The platform has a reporting dashboard which allows partner organizations to view a number of key metrics: number of students and teachers in the program, number of schools, completed lessons, activities and game drives completed.
Any photos taken during experiences and lessons will be available for administrators to download.
Schools, groups and student lists can be easily imported and edited.
Feedback from facilitators is logged and available to administrators to improve or adapt future lessons.
